Responsible Futures

Responsible Futures is a legally formed delivery partnership of four East Midlands based social enterprises.

Responsible Futures brings together sectorial knowledge from nationally recognised leading social enterprises across the East Midlands region. Between the partners, they currently employ over 200 people and support in excess of 1000 individuals into training and employment.

The vision of Responsible Futures is to ensure that the role of social enterprises within the East Midlands is nationally supported and that social enterprise delivers to its full potential both in terms of environment and sustainability.

Responsible Futures offers the following services:

  • Research and business case development for public sector
  • Direct delivery and development support for new and existing social enterprises
  • Business support services e.g. HR, Finance, H&S, training plans etc.
  • Environmental design and delivery etc.
  • Best practice knowledge sharing
  • Problem solving through innovative and responsible solutions
  • Asset development
  • Training and capacity building events for public and private sector organisations

Responsible Futures is a supporter of the SE100. The SE100 maps the most effective Social Enterprises in Britain, highlighting lessons to be learnt for other aspiring social enterprises. YouthBuildUK and APEX works are set to become partners of Responsible Futures. Responsible Futures issues its first briefing, inviting those with land assets to partner with SE’s to get value from the land in innovative and sustainable ways.
